Training - Day 1 & 2
This is a 2-day course, titled "Utility Arboriculture – Ground Based or Aerial Operator", taking place near Builth Wells in Powys. This course includes the "UA Species Recognition, Growth Characteristics and Associated Hazards" element. (Full objectives for this course can be found here).
Assessment
The City & Guilds NPTC Assessment will be completed the day after the initial training at the same venue. Qualification Guidance for the Utility Arb suite can be found here.
Pre-requisites
You must hold the required pre-requisite qualifications to book on to this course:- Utility Arboriculture – Basic Electrical Knowledge- Chainsaw Maintenance & Crosscutting- Felling Small Trees up to 380mm- Tree Climbing & Rescue (if Aerial Operator)- Use of Saw from Rope & Harness (if Aerial Operator). It is also recommended that all attendees hold a current Emergency First Aid at Work + Forestry Certificate.
