Who is this for?

This course will provide you with the theoretical knowledge for good manual handling and lifting techniques, as well as putting the knowledge in to practice with practical and safe lifting operations. This course is designed for those who lift at work in a practical setting (such as outside or in a workshop).

This is normally started at our site locally to Builth Wells, in Powys.
If you have enough people for a full course we are able to run this course on your site (subject to a pre-course visit).

Qualification:

City & Guilds Level 2 Award in the Safe Manual Handling of Objects

CERTIFICATE TYPE:

COURSE OBJECTIVES:

  • Understand the reasons for safe manual handling in the workplace
  • Know how to manage the possible risks involved in manual handling
  • Be able to carry out safe manual handling techniques
  • Be able to select and use appropriate mechanical manual handling aids
