Transport of Animals by Road – Short Journeys

Who is this for?

If you are involved in the transportation of animals by road on short journeys (over 65km and up to 8 hours duration), successful completion of this qualification will ensure you meet the requirement for a Certificate of Competence outlined in the Council Regulation (EC) No 1/2005 on the Protection of Animals During Transport and the Welfare of Animals (Transport) Order 2006.

You will choose which species you will be transporting; if you are transporting multiple species unfortunately you will need to sit the assessment more than once.

The species options are: Cattle | Sheep | Cattle & Sheep | Goats | Pigs | Poultry | Horses | Game birds

Duration:

1 hour City & Guilds NPTC Computerised Test.

Training is not provided.

Attendees:

Max. number per sitting = 6

Venue:

This is normally completed at mwmac Ltd, near Builth Wells, Powys.

If you have a group of people, we are able, in some instances, to run these tests at your premises, as long as there is electric and enough space available.
